When is the best time to book a Cake Smash Session?

I get this question every now and then, but majority of the time a lot of people inquire right around their little one’s 1st birthday.

If I can give any advice it would be to book your session sooner rather than later. The sooner the better actually! I have clients who book their Cake Smash Sessions right around when their little one turns 5-6 months old. Is that too early?! NO WAY!!!!

A lot of time and planning go in to my Cake Smash Sessions. Custom sets can take a few weeks to put together and design. Also, I love having the photos done and ready for the 1st birthday and for the birthday boy’s/girl’s party.

So, don’t be afraid to book your custom Cake Smash Session early! I can’t wait to see you here at my Cake Smash Studio located in Hewitt, NJ. (Northern New Jersey)

Once again I forget to blog… I blame it on the amazing summer I have been having with my family and getting to photograph some amazing babies, kiddos and families!

Baby Boy H came in my studio located in Hewitt, NJ a few months ago and he did not disappoint! Guess what, he will be coming in to my studio in a few short weeks for his Cake Smash! How in the world did that go by so fast?!

So this session is from September, 2018. Yes, you read that right! My oh my!

Mr. Clayton rocked his custom Garage Themed Cake Smash Session that took place at my studio inWest Milford, New Jersey. His daddy owns a garage and fixes cars and what better theme for this lil guy!

Baby boy S was one of the sleepiest newborns to date! He was super squishy and loved being posed. He had the sweetest big sister and she loved him so much.

We of course had to incorporate what his daddy does too! <3

This was such a special session for this baby girl and her momma.

Her Momma and her came to the studio located in Hewitt, NJ and were such a pleasure to meet and photograph. The precious baby girl had the chubbiest of cheeks and slept soundly the entire time!

Baby Girl P was such a darling during her session. When her momma picked out this color scheme I was over the moon!!! I had the perfect head piece that matched the backdrop and wrap set.

She slept the entire session and even gave me a few darling smiles! <3

This adorable baby boy was the sleepiest little one I had in a while for his session and he was just pure perfection. He loved being wrapped and was still sleeping after he was unwrapped when his session was over! Grey looks amazing on him too. <3

Baby Girl Chaparro's Newborn Session - Northern New Jersey Newborn Photographer

The studio located in Hewitt, NJ was nice and warm and awaiting the arrival of a tiny little newborn girl. Pink wraps and backdrops were out and waiting, along with gorgeous headbands and props.

This gorgeous little lady couldn’t be more perfect for her session. She transitioned between setups perfectly and was so squishable and adorable!

Mom and dad picked the perfect shade of pink for her session and decided on the most adorable props. I can’t wait to have her back in the studio in Northern New Jersey soon for milestone sessions!

Introducing Monthly Milestone Sessions! | Northern New Jersey Newborn Photographer

Amid the sleepless nights, crazy hormones and colicky cries, finding the time to setup and document your babies every month can be hard. Let us do the work for you. All you need to bring is your little one in a plain white onsie. You can bring your own monthly milestone blocks, or use ours!

On the third Sunday of every month, we will have an appointment calendar set up from 12-2 pm for milestone sessions at the studio located in Hewitt, NJ. Each session comes with ONE free digital image. New newborn clients may purchase an entire year for $49 (covers months 1-11) and all my newborn clients from the past 6 months (August-February 1) that have been photographed already get the plan for FREE! You can attend each and every month, every other month, or just a few. Didn’t have a newborn session with me? Not a potential newborn client? Have a little one under 11 months old? No problem! You can buy in to the monthly sessions for $199!

Baby Boy J's Studio Newborn Session | Northern New Jersey Newborn Photographer

Baby Boy J was born right around Christmas and he joined my in our studio located in Hewitt, about 3 weeks later for an amazing session. We had everything out for mom and dad to choose from… Whether is would be something grey, blue or cream, and they decided to go with a nice light blue and cream.

He arrived quietly sleeping and I couldn’t wait to start cuddling him and start the session right away.

He snuggled in pretty well and preferred to be wrapped right away. How can you blame him, to be nice and snuggled up in a warm and fuzzy wrap.

After doing a variety of poses it was time to unwrap this little squish and get some adorable photos unwrapped. He just loved being wrapped, but he did fall asleep not long after and we got some adorable shots!

He was such the perfect little guy! I loved creating these memories for his mom and dad. <3
