I am an all-inclusive newborn photographer, which means that every session includes digital images. No need to purchase these separately! You always have the option to create tangible artwork with your photos as well, either through my store or your own choice of photo lab. These are your forever memories, and I believe you should have the option to share them in whatever way is most meaningful to you!

Newborn FAQs

I recommend booking about 3-4 months prior to your due date. I book a limited number of newborn sessions each month, so it’s best to get on the calendar early! If it’s past this date already or your baby has already arrived, please feel free to reach out anyway. I am always happy to accommodate last-minute bookings if there is an opening in my schedule!
7 to 21 days after birth is the best time to get the classic poses. Babies also tend to be very sleepy at this age, which means we get to spend more time on photos! However, if you miss that three-week window, I am happy to photograph “older” newborns as well.
All newborn sessions take place at my cozy newborn studio located in downtown West Milford, New Jersey. I can’t wait to see you there!
Before your session, I will send you my Newborn Guide to help you get ready. This has all kinds of handy tips on how to prepare, what to bring, etc. You can also check out this blog post for some tips and info now. I do try to make my newborn sessions as fun and stress-free as possible though, so mostly just get ready to relax!
Of course! I know how meaningful heirlooms, handmade baby gifts, and other sentimental items can be, and would be delighted to incorporate special objects like these to help tell your family’s story. I have all the props, wraps, and headbands you’ll need at the studio, but if there is a special item or two from home that you’d love to bring to personalize your session, you are welcome to do so.
I certainly do! I know that every family is different, so I offer a variety of photo collections to suit every need and budget. Whether you want a handful of baby-only images or would like a gallery that includes the whole family, I have something for everyone. Please inquire for a list of my newborn collections.
If one session just isn’t enough, don’t worry! You can choose a newborn collection that includes a gifted mini milestone session for when baby is a little bit older. You are also welcome to add-on a maternity session when you order any newborn collection. This is a beautiful way to document your pregnancy and celebrate your soon-to-arrive little one!
I start editing your images as soon as your session is over. You’ll receive your proof gallery by the day after your session. Once you’ve chosen your favorites, I will start the editing process and you will receive your finished photos within 2 weeks. At least, that’s what the contract says…in reality, you’ll probably receive your finished photos within 48 hours of your selection. Yes, I work fast!

Fresh 48 Photography Sessions

Great newborn photography doesn’t just happen in the studio. For beautiful, intimate newborn birth photos, we can arrange a hospital newborn photography session to capture every detail of those precious first hours.

Fresh 48 sessions are held in the hospital shortly after baby’s birth. These sessions are magical, and the perfect way to capture the beginning of this sweet love story! They are designed to show the joy and raw emotion that come with welcoming a brand new baby. I book a very limited number of Fresh 48 sessions, so please be sure to book well in advance to ensure availability. After that, all you have to do is let me know when you are in labor so I can start clearing my schedule and then notify me when baby arrives!
