March is an extra special month for me because it marks the anniversary of my photography business. For 12 years now I’ve been photographing the most beautiful babies and families. How amazing is that!? I am so incredibly grateful to all of the families who have trusted me with these precious memories over the years.
Some of the parents who walk through my door come in as strangers—but they always leave as friends! And some of the families I photograph I’ve known forever. In either case, there is something so magical about these early newborn days, and being able to capture that is one of the best things about what I do.
This little cutie comes from a family I know well. Mom is a good friend of mine and I was so excited when she and her husband asked if I would photograph their sweet baby. Dad is from Australia, so of course we had to include Mom and Dad’s passports and an adorable little koala cuddly.
I always love personalizing my sessions and including little touches that highlight baby’s heritage and unique legacy. For me, a newborn session is never just about taking a picture. It’s about preserving the beginning of a story. And I’m so grateful to be part of the story of this beautiful family!
