Every year I say to myself, “That was the best year for holiday mini sessions yet!”

And guess what? Every year…I’m right! And 2025 was no exception. Honestly, these sessions couldn’t have gone better or been more magical. What a delight to help kids and families get ready for the most wonderful time of the year with three different kinds of Christmas photo options.

Every year I do something a little different, since holiday minis at the studio have become an annual tradition for so many of my clients. I keep the same basic themes, but I play around with new setups and backdrops for a unique experience every time.

For 2025 I did:

Christmas PJ Sessions

These are always so lighthearted and fun—not to mention absolutely adorable! This year I created a cozy couch setup with pillows and blankets and some rustic décor. The kids were too cute posing for these!

Holiday Formals

For something a little more formal, I used a green velvet couch with some whimsical Christmas décor and generated the background scene with trees, garlands, and of course, lots and lots of presents!

Santa Sessions

No Christmas would be complete without Santa! I think these are the highlight of my holiday sessions. Watching little ones believe with their whole hearts is exactly why I love these Santa sessions so much! The magic is real…you can see it right in their eyes!
