New Jersey Maternity Photographer

Proudly documenting your pregnancy journey and serving expectant mothers throughout the New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut Tri-State area.

Pregnancy is such an exciting and magical time in your life! I believe every mama deserves beautiful pictures that record this season of joy and anticipation. My style for maternity portraiture is clean, simple, and focused on YOU! I keep props to a minimum and use an elegant black or white backdrop if we’re shooting in the studio, or the unrivalled beauty of Mother Nature if your session takes place outside.

My husband and I did a lot of research looking for a maternity/newborn photographer and we are so happy we found Jennifer. She did a phenomenal job capturing these precious lifetime events for us - even with our maternity shoot being in 11 degree weather! The entire process was smooth and efficient. Jennifer was extremely responsive with communication and the turnaround time on the photos was fast! We are so in love with the photos and undoubtedly will be returning to her in the future.

I am an all-inclusive maternity photographer, which means that your session will include digital images. No need to purchase these separately! I find this gives clients the greatest flexibility to choose how to share and display their photos in a way that is convenient and meaningful. Maternity FAQs

  • The sooner the better! I book a limited number of sessions each month so I can give each client the attention they deserve and maintain flexibility for situations like babies arriving early or late. I will always do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings, but I recommend that as soon as you know you’re pregnant—give me a call!

  • My favorite time to do maternity photos is between 30 and 35 weeks. This window tends to be just right as it balances the two most important things: making sure that baby bump is big enough to show off, and making sure that mom is comfortable and can truly enjoy her time in front of the camera!

  • I offer both studio and outdoor options for maternity sessions. My studio is small and intimate, perfect for mom-only portraits or a couples maternity shoot. If you have multiple children or extended family you’d like to include, I recommend an outdoor session so we can accommodate everyone comfortably.

  • I tell moms to use their session as an excuse for some pampering! Get a good night’s sleep, do your nails, spend some extra time on your hair and makeup, and choose an outfit that makes you feel amazing! All you really have to do is whatever it takes to feel your best. I will take care of everything else!

  • I have a few select pieces such as body suits and black fitted dresses in my client closet. I encourage you to wear what you love and feel beautiful and comfortable in. We’ll typically do 2 outfits per session, so feel free to bring your own outfits or mix and match with what’s at the studio so you can get a couple of different styles.

  • Absolutely! You are more than welcome to include the other members of your immediate family. I love documenting family and relationships, and would be delighted to have dad and big brother or sister join in!

  • Sooner than you think! I’ll send you your proof gallery by the day after your session. Once you’ve chosen your favorites, I’ll start editing them and you’ll receive your finished maternity portraits within 2 weeks at the latest. Honestly, it’s usually a lot faster than that. I get so caught up in the magic of editing that clients often receive their final gallery within 48 hours of making their selection. What can I say? I’m just as excited about your pictures as you are!

  • I recommend scheduling your newborn session at least 3-4 months before your due date. We’ll set a flexible date and finalize it once baby arrives. Built-in flexibility is a must for littles—they sometimes have their own ideas about the due date! Also, if you book your maternity and newborn sessions together, you’ll get a discount on your maternity shoot. Planning ahead definitely pays off!
